The COVID-19 pandemic has reminded us that hand washing is a key preventative measure to control the spread of infectious diseases. Yet many people don&#8217;t have access basic WASH facilities and training.<\/p>\n<p>Globally, nearly 1\/2 of all schools and 1\/3 of all hospitals and clinics lack this infrastructure. Its Everyone Forever model is a district-centered approach that combats the global water crisis by facilitating the construction and\/or rehabilitation of the most contextually appropriate water systems needed to reach every household, school, and health clinic. By partnering with local stakeholders, Water For People ensures communities have the tools and training they need to maintain each system for generations.<\/p>\n<p>Our 2022 campaign will fund improved WASH services at 75 clinics, schools, and childcare centers. Investing in these systems will provide lasting benefits to 40,541 people directly\u2014and many more throughout the broader community\u2014while also immediately reducing the likelihood and pace of the spread of contagion.
